The American demographic makeup is changing and necessitates a response from companies to address everything from shifting consumer tastes to workforce dynamics. Moreover, numerous research studies confirm diverse teams yield better business results; in fact, diverse teams will be essential to achieving success in the marketplace of the future. Join Jan Jones Blackhurst, Caesars Entertainment EVP of Public Policy & Corporate Responsibility, as she moderates a session with Toni Repetti, Ph.D. UNLV Harrah College of Hospitality assistant professor and Shekinah Hoffman, UNLV International Gaming Institute Special Project Coordinator and Sociology doctoral student, who are studying the dynamics of gender diversity in the gaming-resort industry. Their glass ceiling research will help today’s international gaming companies identify barriers and challenges faced by women in their workplaces and provide solutions for leaders to continue to recruit and retain top talent; foster an inclusive work climate that supports the advancement of all its employees; make business decisions that are representative of their diverse customer base; and achieve employer of choice status.
