George N. Rover Assistant Attorney General N.J. Division of Gaming Enforcement George Rover is a graduate of Rutgers University where he received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He is also a graduate of Rutgers School of Law - Camden, where he received his Juris Doctorate in 1986. After graduating from Law School, Rover clerked for the Honorable Virginia Long, in the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division. Thereafter, he worked at a mid-sized law firm in the area of commercial litigation. In 1992 he took a position with the New Jersey State Attorney General’s Office as a Deputy Attorney General in the Office of Legal Affairs and in 1995 he took a position with the Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control where he was special assistant to the Director. Rover was made an Assistant Attorney General in January 1999 and served as the special assistant to the director of the Division of Gaming Enforcement until October, 2011 when he was appointed as Deputy Director.
