Jason Giles has been the executive director of the National Indian Gaming Association since 2012. Prior to his appointment, Giles served the NIGA as deputy executive director, drafting member alerts on current gaming issues, preparing and assisting in the drafting of congressional testimony and memorandums on gaming-related issues. He was hired by the NIGA as legal counsel in 2005. Giles began his legal career as an associate attorney at a firm in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he focused on labor law, real estate law, and bankruptcy issues. He is a member of the Wisconsin, Hawaii and Oklahoma bar associations and a tribal citizen of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation in Oklahoma. Giles attended the U.S. Military Academy and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps. He attended law school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
