G2E News: Reflecting on a G2E for the Books
G2E showcases the industry’s diversity of products, growth and innovation by providing the platform for gaming’s biggest and best new ideas. This year’s event showed more than ever why G2E is the catalyst for gaming. Join us as we reflect on an amazing year and what we’re looking forward to in 2024.
We saw the evolution of G2E this year. The gaming industry is constantly growing and transforming with legalized gaming expanding to new verticals like sports betting and iGaming. At the same time, digital payments and other financial technologies have become mainstays in the G2E lineup. G2E’s new and improved brand features a modern, dynamic look to reflect the evolution and forward-looking energy of the industry.
That new look was on full display this past October at The Venetian Expo, as more than 25,000 gaming industry professionals descended on Las Vegas for G2E 2023. Featuring 368 exhibitors, the expo hall explored the future of the casino floor as suppliers debuted new technologies and twists to classic brands and concepts. To meet growing demand in the online gaming space, this year’s show unveiled the first-ever iGaming Zone. The space was a big success and brought iGaming solution providers and operators together in a focused location to explore solutions, thought leadership, and connect with the entire gaming ecosystem.
Another exciting new area on the expo floor was The Lab, a re-imagined space which served as a hub for emerging tech with TED-Talk-styled sessions exploring the future of gaming. The greatly expanded Networking Lounge also provided even more opportunities for the G2E community to convene and connect through exciting events like the African Americans in Gaming (AAG) Happy Hour and Emerging Leaders of Gaming 40 Under 40 Reception.
Talk to anyone, operators, exhibitors, and they’ll all say the same thing: this was the busiest G2E yet.
G2E 2023 showed that the industry is hungry for more. More opportunities to network with industry stakeholders and learn from the brightest in the industry. More chances to interact with those driving the industry forward and get their hands on the latest technologies.
G2E delivered on its promise to be the catalyst for gaming. There’s no denying that 2023 was an absolute success and 2024 provides more opportunity to continue fostering innovation and driving the industry forward. In fact, we’ll bet on 2024 being the best show yet, and we hope to see you next year, October 7-10, in Las Vegas.
